One-Time Buyer: Full Pricing & Structure
Who this is for & service options
A client who wants to purchase one or more vehicles without committing to an annual membership. No platform login required. Two service levels are available depending on how much involvement you need.
Option 1: Self-Service Bid · $350 per vehicle
You find the vehicle on Copart, IAAI, or Manheim and send us the lot number. Dessant places the bid on your behalf. The $350 fee applies when your bid wins. If your bid does not win and you continue bidding, there is no fee.
Option 2: Full Service · $1,000 or 4%
You don’t know the market or don’t have time to search. Your manager sources, evaluates, and bids on your behalf. Fee: $1,000 per vehicle, or 4% of the vehicle price, whichever is higher. The 4% threshold applies above $25,000 (example: a $120,000 vehicle → $4,800).
Deposit & example pricing
A refundable deposit is required before any work begins. It covers administrative costs and sets your auction bidding limit.

- Held in a Dessant bank account, not applied toward the vehicle purchase
- Your bidding limit is set to match the deposit-backed budget
- The limit resets after each vehicle is paid in full
- The deposit remains on account as security for future purchases
- Returned on request after all obligations are settled
If no purchase is made
If your bid does not win or you decide not to continue the search: a retention of $250 applies and the remainder is returned in full. The $250 or 10% of the deposit (whichever is higher) rule applies only to Full Service (personal sourcing).

Auction limit (Self-Service)
- You receive a view + bid account with hard limits
- Total bid cap = your stated budget (matched to the deposit)
- Car-count cap is set per your agreement
- Whichever limit is reached first, the ability to place bids is blocked automatically
- No extra platform costs until a vehicle is purchased
What is not included in the service fee
Billed separately, depending on the vehicle and destination:
- Vehicle purchase price (paid directly to the auction)
- Auction buyer’s fee
- Transportation / logistics
- Title processing
- Storage / demurrage charges
- Additional auction fees
- Postal / courier costs
